The landscape of the Serengeti is, amongst the most iconic, legendary and heart breaking in the continent, it embodies what we envision every time the name Africa is mentioned.
There is no better nor more authentic way to explore this beautiful wilderness than with the freedom of an exclusive, little mobile camp, that keeps you close to the ground, that brings you back to be nature again and with the knowledge and understanding that only a high standard private safari guide can give, interpreting the wonders of the bush and leading you in this full immersion in the wild.
This safari will bring you from the short grass plains in the southern part of the park to the northern areas where we will have good chances of witnessing h the famous wildebeest crossings.
Our journey will begin in the short grass plains, grasslands stretching into distant horizons, this is a key place in the entire ecosystem, the most nutrient grass, the final aim of the wildebeests.
Whether wildebeests are there or not, the heart of this magic land beats, lions often laze on rocky outcrop, cheetahs ply the valleys, small cats, caracal, servals and wild cats roam the grounds. Even a super rare melanistic serval calls this plains home.
Everything in the Serengeti happens on a boundless scale and our mobile camps put you at the heart of it all.
We all come somehow from here and immersing ourselves in this vast wilderness is exhilarating.
Leaving the short grass plains we will be following the herds that moved up north few weeks before hoping to catch them along the Mara river, the real target of their trek north through the Western corridor.
The little mobile camp will move ahead and wait for us on the Lamai wedge at the end of a long exploring day.
The mighty Mara river cuts through this land, dividing it in two, valleys and kopjies in the South, open plains and woodlands in the North. Wildebeest anyway are only interested in good grass and in their quest they may cross the waters several times per year in one of the most majestic wildlife shows on earth.
The crossings and the massive herds of wildebeest, some of the few remaining black rhinos in the country, leopards and lions against the magic backdrop of huge granite boulders or at the feet of the Ololo escarpment are just some of the gems that this magic corner of Africa can offer
This is a great opportunity to explore two of the most special spots in the entire safari world with a small private mobile camp, hosted by East Africa’s most experienced guides and professional photographers.
